Hierarchy, but personal. And, alright, let's see, let's see."How can we adopt a personal approach within corporate hierarchy?" Um...
And this is something I'm sure I apply within my team,an approach that is mine.
I think nowadays the key is to emphasize individuality, each person's unique and authentic characteristics.
A personal approach is one that happens, surely, through trust.
I always bring my experience and current work.We said there's a geographical gap, and a cultural one that occurs through a relationship of trust.
How do you achieve trust?By building relationships and delivering results.
In my opinion, in store operations, in training, therefore in the retail world, especially in the field of retail training, it can be difficult to measure results. That is, to obtain numbers to build a metric.
And that's what I dedicate myself to. I spend a lot of personal time.
An example I always use, especially when we're doing sales training, promoters training. I usually ask promoters to close their eyes for a moment and imagine a cheesecake, a dessert that we all know, that perhaps we've all eaten at least once in our lives, and that's made of different layers.
When we approach the customer, when we go on stage, when we prepare for a sale, we first have to do very important work.
In a cheesecake, there's a sponge layer that must be firm, solid, consistent, crunchy.
That's what gives stability to the whole dessert. That's the part of technical knowledge, therefore, of advanced skills, more related to technical skills.
Then we have the cream cheese layer. And this, on the other hand, is softer, richer, sweeter, smoother.
And this, instead, is the part related to soft skills and therefore,it brings us closer to the personal approach.
Then there's the topping: here is where we go wild, everyone adds the topping they want: chocolate, fruit, mixed.
And that's what characterizes each of our personalities, which I believe is always essential.
I'm not a fan of conformism. On the contrary, I strongly believe in the personal approach.
Obviously, it has to be an approach that aligns with commercial strategies, the business direction,If you find the exact combination, the perfect fit, is the key to everything, the key to work, to success, and, I repeat,to building a bond of trust with managers, trying, if you will,to break the classic hierarchical structure.
Therefore, discovering, knowing how to navigate the different functions, the commercial structure, collaborating 360° with all departments, because individual work, I think, is a bit limited for any success.
